About Us
Civil Engineering department started functioning from the year 2009, with an intake of 60 students. Present intake is 90 at UG level. The department also offers a PG program in Construction Technology and Management from the year 2013 with an intake of 18 students. Present intake of PG program is 24.
Experience and qualified faculties having expertise in different civil engineering fields, facilities as per the requirements of the course curriculum of the affiliating University are the features of the department.
The department organizes different activities like expert lectures, field visits, seminars and group discussions for overall development of students.
VISION
Department aspires to become a centre of excellence by bringing out graduates with high technical competency, who will promote contemporary research in the most ethical ways to meet the current and future challenges of civil engineering.
MISSION
- M1: To provide an overall environment to the students suitable for moulding them to pursue a successful career in industry and research, and to encourage them for higher education.
- M2: To inculcate ethical and moral values amongst its students so as to transform them as socially responsible engineers.
- M3: To produce well qualified and talented engineers by acquainting them with contemporary and latest advances in civil engineering techniques and technologies so as to prepare them to be competent infrastructural engineers.

PROGRAM SPECIFIC OUTCOMES (PSO)

Graduates will have an ability to apply technical skills of waste management, environmental engineering, housing and construction management for sustainable environment. - PSO2:
Graduates will have an ability to ethically use modern tools of civil engineering to become an entrepreneur and impart as a resourceful component in infrastructure development process.
Facilities
Fully furnished laboratories related to Highway Engineering & Material Testing, Engineering Geology, Geo Technical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Fluid Mechanics and Strength of Materials.
Fully fledged Computer Aided Design lab, spacious drawing and furnished seminar halls are the other facilities of the department.
