| All the departments under various institutes of OGI are continuously working for promotion of excellence in their respective areas. for this, special interest groups(SIG) of students have been setup and these groups operate under the supervision of experienced faculty members.
Also, some centers of excellence have been setup to carry out research and consultancy in the areas of expertise.
Some of the centers currently operating are :
- Centre for Excellence in Electronics Design (CEED).
- Centre for Promotion of Energy Conservation (CPEC).
- Centre for Excellence in Information and Communication Technology (CEICT).
