Oriental Fest concludes at OIST Bhopal

A 3 -day Intra group technical, cultural and sports festival began on 25 April 2013 with the Inaugural ceremony from 11 am in the OGI auditorium.
The inaugural ceremony witnessed the presence of Shri KK Appukuttan, Director MANIT. Welcome address was delivered by Director OIST, Bhopal. Traditional lighting of the lamp, Saraswati Vandana and Ganesh Stuti were followed by Mythological, Retro and Folk dances.
The ensuing days witnessed Paper presentation, LAN Gaming, Robotics, C- Mania, Treasure Hunt, Movie making in the Technical section, Ad mad show, Antakshri, Quiz, Skit, Group dance- & Instrumental music competition in the Cultural segment and Cricket, Kho Kho, Kabbaddi, Carrom in the Sports section.
The Valedictory function took place on 27 April 2013 with winner dance performances. The Chief Guest of the occasion was Shri Laxmikant Sharma, Minister of Higher Education and Technical Education Govt. of M.P. He lauded the efforts of students of Oriental Group in organizing the program. The day also marked the birthday of Chairman, OIST Shri Praveen Thakral. The founder Chairman OGI and Chancellor Oriental University blessed the students with his inspiring speech.
The prize distribution ceremony highlighted the Valedictory function wherein many prizes were given to the winner and runner up teams under various categories. Many students of OGI from Indore and Jabalpur came all the way to witness the event along with OIST, OCT, OCP and OCM colleges of Bhopal.
