The workshop commenced with a talk on Mr. Animesh Shrivastava, an Automobile Expert, on the fundamentals of vehicle dynamics–a quick review of definitions and terminology. Later, tyres were discussed by him, as to why and how much the grip, balance, and performance of a car is decided by the contact patch forces and deflections. The last section focused on aero maps, gurney flaps, and static and dynamic ride height settings of aerodynamics.
Dr.K K Jain, Professor NITTTR also gave his insights on Vehicle dynamics.
The Quad Bike Team, comprising the senior students’ team of Oriental, discussed about Suspension System, Steering System, and Braking System and explained the process of fabrication of Vehicle, in detail.
The workshop was great learning experience in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning system for students as well as for faculty members. Dr V. K Sahu, Director, OIST, and Bhopal appreciated the workshop and emphasized that such programs, frequently organized by the Institute, help the students, in better understanding of the curriculum.
