An industrial visit for third Semester students of Automobile Engineering was organized on September 28, 2016. The students were taken to EICHER TRACTORS Ltd. (TMTL) Mandideep Bhopal, wherein they were introduced to the industrial approach, emerging challenges and recent developments in the field of Tractors Technology.
Visit coordinator, Er. R K Shrivastava explained to the students about the assembly of whole tractor, how a tractor goes on various stages of assembly from zero level (Initial stage) to a fully prepared tractors in brief.
Students also visited the tractor body paint shop. Students also observed the piston assembly line, transmission assembly line, Final drive assembly line and hydraulic section. Experts explained them as to how Eicher tractors are different from the other tractors, what type of technology is used by Eicher.
Faculty coordinator Prof.Vikas Verma informed that the visit of Eicher Tractors was very much beneficial for the students. The interaction of students with the experts of EICHER was very informative and educative. Director-OIST, Dr. V. K. Sahu expressed his thanks to the EICHER TRACTORS Ltd. (TMTL) experts for kind cooperation during the visit. Chairman-OGI, Shri Praveen Thakral appreciated the efforts of the Institute in conducting such visits.
