Alumni Meet organized at OIST Bhopal

At Oriental Institute of Science and Technology, Bhopal, an Alumni meet was held to cherish the old memories. Many students from different batches and all the streams came back to visit the Institute, from where they started their voyage.

The day started with the welcome of the guests and soon the campus flooded with the sounds and talks of the days gone by. The program started with traditional lighting of lamp and Saraswati Vandana. After the floral welcome, cultural events started with Ganesh Stuti followed by a movie on OIST and Alumni.  A dance and Skit depicting College days created a feeling of nostalgia in them.

Some of alumni shared their views and experiences with the audience. Mr. Chetan Chauhan, Leutinent, Indian Navy talked of importance of discipline in life which he inculcated right from his days of college. Mr. Prabhakar Tiwari, CEO, The Margdarshak, informed the audience about the importance of studies and focused on the importance of start ups. Mr Anuj Garg, shared his old memories and motivated the students to have a planned approach in life to get success.

In lieu to the same, the most proud moment came when Dr. K L Thakral, Chancellor, Oriental University, came up on the stage. The ambience was full with blessings and pride to see the seeds once grown transformed to plants. Dr. Thakral motivated the students to follow the footsteps of their seniors. This ended up with the souvenir distribution to the alumni.

The program was graced by the benign presence of Shri Praveen Thakral, Chairman, OGI, Bhopal, Ms Niraj Ghei, Chairperson OCT Bhopal, Dr. Kavita Burse, Dean Academics, OIST Bhopal and Directors of the Oriental Group. Vote of thanks was presented by Dr. Sanjeev Sharma, HOD, Computer Science Dept.

All the existing students were very happy and thrilled to meet their seniors. All the seniors shared their views as they are placed with reputed National and Multinational Companies. The Alumni have assured to extend their possible help and guidance to their juniors, as a gratitude to their Alma Mater.
